The Republic Plaza is a commercial property located in the heart of Raffles place where you can find the financial and commercial centre of the city called the Central Business District. The Republic Plaza is currently among the top four (4) tallest building in Singapore, standing at 66 storeys.  As at 2015, the Republic Plaza – (280m tall) shares the title of being the tallest building in Singapore with two other buildings of the same height – Overseas Union Bank (OUB) and United Overseas Bank Plaza (UOB). In the year 2016, the newly built Tanjong Pagar Centre displaced the trio building to become the number one tallest building in Singapore at the height of 290m.

The Republic Plaza as at the time of completion in the year 1996 was the 13th tallest building in the world. Currently, it ranks as the No.115 tallest building in Asia and No. 207 tallest building in the world. Using a fast-track building construction process, the completion for the construction of the Republic Plaza took just two years a time, which would have been longer if the traditional design –bid – build process was used. The Republic Plaza building is shaped to withstand strong winds and earthquakes despite it being relatively distant from the earthquake zone. The building uses a combination of a core system and a moment-resisting frame on the extension including outrigger braces to improve its structural integrity.

The Republic Plaza has 15 double deck vertical lifts to ferry traffic simultaneously on different flows to help optimise space and flow of movement on all floors. Due to the presence of tourists, local and multinational companies in the area, the Republic Plaza enjoys a massive volume of foot traffic, which makes it an ideal place to situate your business. The Republic Plaza is an iconic landmark – a city and national landmark in Singapore, being one of the famous city buildings. The Republic Plaza tower was designed to reflect a subtle oriental influence.

With more than 15 Food & Bar outlets to cater to your hunger needs at friendly prices, Republic Plaza has you covered from cakes and desserts, coffee and teas, rice boxes to tasty soups, sumptuous seafood and pasta. At the top of the building is an elegant, exclusive private club (Tower Club) that offers a unique, dining experience with a mesmerising view of the Marina South of the Central District Business.  The Tower Club is a great place for meetings and product launches. You’ll find a bar, western restaurant, and Chinese restaurant.

Within a close distance of various shopping malls and arcade shops to attend to your shopping needs is the Clifford Centre, Change Alley Aerial Plaza and Ocean Financial Centre. The Raffle Plaza is also connected through to Raffles Place MRT station where you have access to a massive dining area with scrumptious meals to fill your stomach.
